Community Organisation Membership Registration

1. Any resident of Newark and District, aged eighteen or over, who supports the shared values of The Group (see Appendix 1 on page 2).
   
   
2. The Management Committee shall have the power to approve or reject applications for membership or to terminate the membership of any member provided that the member shall have the right to be heard by The Committee before any final decision is made.
   
   
3. The Secretary shall maintain an up-to-date register of all members and their
   contact details which shall be open to inspection to other members.
   
   
4. Members shall be entitled to attend General Meetings and have a vote there.
   
   
5. Prevailing Data Protection rules shall be adhered to with regard to each member’s contact details, social media profiles and all online references, photographs, press releases and all other forms of public interaction.
   
   
6. An optional membership fee / donation can be paid into the Group bank account (as shown below). All monies received will go towards support/admin/running costs of IfND Community Group.

Appendix 1: Shared Values of The Group

• A ground up response, listening to and acting on behalf of our electorate, our local residents.

• We believe that adversarial party politics has had its day and prefer to work in a collaborative, positive way to solve problems. The emphasis is on “small p” (personal) politics rather than Party Politics, so our councillors are not whipped.
