Before you book!

Note: The Orkney Tour now has a space left for two people travelling and sharing a room together. To avoid double bookings, if you wish to come along, please email us at: the-wee-folk@ansgeulaiche.co.uk

Whomever we hear from first, will be given access to the booking form to sign on. Thank you!

Our tours have a house-style and we want to make sure it is right for you. Review the following before requesting a place on the tour. Be sure that you and each person that you are booking on to the tour:
- Are in good physical condition at the time of booking. These are physically active tours! You may email / phone us to talk about it before completing this form.
- Can fit comfortably in a 9-seater vehicle seat without physically encroaching upon other passengers' seats and can travel in front, middle and back seats without getting travel sick.
- Can meet the luggage requirements. See luggage on the FAQ page.
- Are sociable and will engage in a pleasant / fun way with a small group of 6 to 14 travellers. Please, no grumps!
- Are 21 year or older (18 if accompanied by an over 21).
- Is a non-smoker. See FAQ page.
What you can book on this form
- Note: The Orkney Tour is only for 2 friends/family sharing a room.
- You can book on (and pay for) one to four guests on all other tours.
- You can book on just yourself and tell us that you have friends who will book and pay separately.
- You can finalise the booking on a private tour.
Payment methods: You will need a credit or debit card to make the deposit payment, which is handled by Stripe.com. Balance payments are made using WISE.com or bank to bank transfers, neither of which support card payments. Wise makes payments cheaper and more secure. You can view the deposit and balance payment format on the Terms and Conditons page.

Flights
You are advised not to book flights until you have been notified that there is space availability AND you have paid your balance AND we have told you we have enough participants (this often happens around 6 months before a tour and no later than 3 months before).

- You can book just yourself as a solo traveller.
- Just yourself but sharing a room (on multi-day tours) with a friend who will book and pay separately.
- You can book as a couple. That's someone you will be paying for and sharing a double room with (on multi-day tours).
- You can book as a family group. That's 3+ people but only one payment.

If you are booking on behalf of your spouse or other family members, you will need their:

Deposit payments are taken at the end of this booking process when you click the Sign Up button, but card details are entered now. The final box in Payment Details is for your zip / postal code.

As a solo traveller, you will have your own room with your own bath/shower room, usually en-suite, with a double or twin bed. Note: The Orkney Tour has NO solo traveller spaces.
Couples will be offered a double bedroom first though they may not always be available. However, if you do prefer two twin beds, we will try to accommodate you, but twin rooms are becoming rarer in B&Bs and are allocated to friends first. If you absolutely have to have twin beds, we may be able to accommodate you in a nearby hotel, however their tariffs are higher and this will be added to your total tour price.
Friends or family sharing a room: Twin beds will be offered when available. They are becoming rarer in the private B&Bs that we prefer to use. If no twins are available, do you mind sharing a double bed with your rooming partner at one stop (usually two nights)?

If you absolutely have to have twin beds, we may be able to accommodate you in a nearby hotel, however their tariffs are higher and this will be added to your total tour price.

Health and activity: I need to understand the physical abilities and any medical conditions of you and anyone else you're booking on to the tour so that I can plan appropriate activities and timings.
Misrepresenting a guest's abilities might negatively impact their enjoyment of the tour and that of the others.

Pony Trekking. If available, would you like to participate? This is usually for an hour or two, guided by a qualified rider, through beautiful areas of the Highlands. Usually, no prior experience is required. It is an optional extra and costs around 30GBP. Limited to 185 lbs maximum.
