North Finchley pop-UPs: Summer 2024

Barnet Council is commissioning a series of events to be held later this year in North Finchley Town Centre. We want to hear from local individuals, groups, organisations, and businesses who want to be involved in these community-centred events.

These events aim to celebrate the richness and diversity of life in North Finchley. We're especially interested in providing activities for children/ young people following feedback during public consultation.

Whatever you want to do, whether you want to perform, run a food stall, lead a class, do a demonstration, sell your crafts or help with marketing and organising the events we’d love to hear from you.

Here's some more information about the events programme: 

• The events aim to activate and celebrate the soon to be expanded public space at Tally Ho Corner and the space outside the artsdepot at Nether Street. They will seek to pilot different types of events at different times of the day to see what works best in North Finchley.
• We want the events to showcase the best of the area and serve the local community, whilst creating a destination for visitors during both the day and evening. It's crucial to us that the events celebrate the existing offer in the town centre rather than compete with them.
• The events will run during Summer 2024. This pilot series of events seeks to develop into a permanent programme within North Finchley.
