ZimmiBestellungenGefragt am 5. Dezember 2024 um 08:20
Guten Tag liebes JotForm-Team,
Tobias Salfinger

Hi Tobias,
Our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, it's easy to use your Gmail Account as your Email Sender in Jotform. Let me show you how:
1. On your Settings page, in the Sender Emails section, click on the Add Sender Email button.
2. In the window that opens, select Google and click on Continue.
3. In the next window that pops up, connect your Google Account.
4. After connecting your account, click on Send Test Email in the Google SMTP Configuration menu to check if it’s set up correctly, then click on Save and that's it.
Now, when setting up your notification or autoresponder emails, you'll be able to select your Google account as the sender:
If you change your Google password or permissions for Jotform, this setup will no longer be valid, and you’ll need to click on the Refresh button on your Settings page:
You might also want to check out these guides about How to Use Your Gmail Account as Your Email Sender via SMTP and Setting Up Email Notifications.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Thank you very much for your help, I will try it that way. Now the question is how things are with the @bluewin.ch and @bluemail.com emails. Our customers are not receiving confirmations, which is a problem for us. Is there anything that can be done about this?
Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hi ZimmiBestellungen,
Some company domains have firewalls or similar security configurations which block emails from unknown senders. After you set up your Gmail account as the sender, and if your Gmail is accepted by these organizations, your clients should receive emails without problems.
Regarding the past e-mail notifications, we can assume they are deleted by the firewall, you can contact the organizations to see if that is the case. On the other hand, you can resend the email notifications for your selected submissions in Jotform Tables. You need to create an action button for sending emails, then filter the submissions based on email domain, then send the mails. First, let me show you how to create the Action Button for sending emails:
- On Jotform Tables, click on the Add button along with the column headers of the fields.
- Then go to the Buttons tab on the pop-up window and click Send Email from the options. Click the Next button to proceed.
- Enter the Column Name and then click on Next.
- Select the Autoresponder Email that you need to send manually. Make sure that you have created your Autoresponder Email as I’ve explained in the previous reply. Your sender email needs to be configured, otherwise your mails could be blocked again.
- Then click the Create Column button to create the column.
Then, you can create a filter for emails with the selected domain name. In your case, creating a filter for including .ch seems appropriate. For @bluemail.com, you can filter for including bluemail.com. Let me show you how:
- On Jotform Tables, click on Filter, then click on Choose a Field and select Email.
- Select the Includes condition from the Dropdown, and type .ch or bluemail.com depending on your requirements.
- Then click on Apply Filter.
After that, you can click on Send Email buttons to manually send the missing autoresponder emails for your selected submissions.
Also, our system may add email recipients to a bounce list if they are unable to receive mails from us. In that case, our system does not send any emails to these recipients. Can you also share a full list of these recipient emails so we can remove them in case they are in the bounce list?
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
