    Hi Formularios Juntos,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

    Now, coming back to your question, if I understand correctly, you are looking for a way to allow users to add their own option if the predefined choices in your form do not include what they need. Can you share how you anticipate your form respondents using this feature? Specifically, how many additional options do you expect them to add?

    If you only need respondents to add one extra option, you can use the Multiple Choice element and enable the Display Other Option setting. This will allow them to manually enter a custom answer if their choice is not on the list. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the upper left-hand side to open the Form Elements panel.

    2. Under the Basic tab, look for the Multiple Choice element. Click or drag and drop it to your preferred location in the form.

    3. Once added, click on the Gear icon to open the Multiple Choice Properties panel on the right side.

    4. Go to the Options tab, scroll down to the bottom, find and enable the option for Display Other Option.

You can take a look at the screencast below to see the result: Allowing Users to Add Custom Options to a List Screenshot 51 But, if you need respondents to add multiple additional options, you may want to use the Configurable List widget, which allows users to dynamically add as many entries as they need. The Configurable List widget is easy to use. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
    2. Under the Widgets tab, drag and drop the Configurable List widget into your form or just click on it to add.
    3. In the menu on the right, customize the Fields Configuration section according to the syntax below.
    {label} : {type} : {placeholder}

    If this workaround isn’t quite what you’re looking for, you can share more details on what you're trying to achieve? How do you want this feature to work visually, and what outcome do you expect?

    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
