• Film Hub London Membership Application 2019

  • Film Hub London membership is FREE to qualifying organisations and offers a range of benefits, including funding, development, networking and collaboration opportunities, advice and guidance, marketing support, advocacy and audience insight. We welcome applications from any organisation that screens films to public audience or its membership and/or has a related interest in broadening the range of film available to audiences and in enriching the cultural value of communal film screening activity.

    Organisations must be formally constituted. This means being one of the following:

    • A community interest company or limited liability company registered at Companies House;
    • A charity or trust registered with the Charity Commission;
    • A Local Authority or statutory body;
    • or a voluntary group with a written constitution and bank account.

    Private individuals are not eligible for FAN membership.

    Film Hub London is managed by Film London. Proud to be a partner of the BFI Film Audience Network, funded by the National Lottery.     To become a member, simply complete and submit this application form. Your application will be assessed by a member of Film Hub London and you will receive confirmation on your acceptance by email within 10 working days.

  • Membership Declaration

    By submitting this application for membership you agree to the following:

    • Active commitment to the vision of FAN set out in BFI2022, with a shared ambition to extend film choice, increase and broaden film audiences, and enhance opportunities for audiences to engage with and learn about film.
    • Participation in Hub activity with an open, professional, and sharing approach.
    • Keeping regular and open lines of communication with the Film Hub Lead Organisation and other FAN members, discussing opportunities and concerns relating to the Hub as they arise.
    • Complying with statuatory or voluntary laws, rules, regulations and guidelines applicable to the exhibition of film to the public and membership-only audiences.
    • Acknowledging and promoting the support of the National Lottery in relation to FAN activity.
    • Allowing Film Hub London to use details of your screening activity supplied in the application to provide the BFI with updates on the size and make-up of our membership.

    Data Protection

    Upon joining Film Hub London and the BFI Film Audience Network (BFI FAN) you will be automatically added to the Film Hub London Members’ Newsletter (sent by Film London), the weekly Film London Film Events in London newsletter (sent by Film London) and the BFI FAN Indie Box Office report and Booking Now (sent by the BFI) mailing lists.

    Film London will keep all personal data supplied with your application securely. Stored information will be used for the administration of applications and awards, to monitor funding, and for communications regarding your Film Hub London and BFI Film Audience Network membership. 

    As a member of the BFI Film Audience Network, your personal data will be shared with the BFI for the exclusive purpose of communication of the weekly BFI FAN Indie Box Office Column. Your personal data will not be shared with any other third party without your prior written permission. 

    Occasionally Film Hub London may also use the contact details you have supplied in this membership application to directly contact you about Hub or FAN activities of direct relevance, including funding, training and networking activity.

  •  In addition to the mailing list, from time to time, Film Hub London would like to use the contact details you have supplied in the membership application (email, postal address and telephone number) to directly contact you about the following:

    • other news items, reports and publications of interest to film exhibitors;
    • opportunities to take part in research to help FAN better understand performance against its stated objectives or to learn more about the support needs of film exhibitors.
