Terms and Conditions for Boomland Courses

The present terms and conditions, which can be amended at any point, are applicable to all services made available online, through any mobile device, email or telephone. When accessing, navigating or using our website (mobile) and/or making a reservation, you acknowledge and accept to read, understand and agree to the below terms and conditions (including the privacy statement).
The present terms and conditions are subject to the law applicable in Portugal. IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda will not be responsible for any change on the terms and conditions needed by the rules and regulations approved by the Government, Parliament or Health Authorities. All the terms and conditions can suffer changes due to the situation of the country regarding the pandemic COVID-19, or any future pandemics.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
- The price of the courses offered by Boomland School are displayed on Boomland School registration form.
- The temporary accommodation available at Boomland, provided by IdanhaCulta, is in bed in shared dorm, own tents or caravans with maximum capacity for two people in tents or caravans. The price for each type of accommodation is displayed on Boomland School registration form.
- IdanhaCulta Association provides accommodation with full board for the duration of the courses. The prices for the full board are displayed on Boomland School registration form.
- The payment for the course, accommodation and food is made in full at the time of online reservation or 50% at the moment of the online reservation, and 50% until the 15th August; after this date it can only be made in full at the time of reservation.
- No guest will be able to start the course in which he or she is enrolled without having made the payment. Enrollment is only valid when the full course fee, accommodation and food has been paid.
- The payment will be made by credit or debit card, in full at the the time of online reservation or, , if the option is still available, 50% through the online reservation form, and 50% through a payment link sent by email.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
- Cancellations by the guest made until 30 days before the starting date of the course are refundable by 90%.
- Cancellations by the guest after this date are not subject to refund.
- The card transaction fees will not be refunded.
- The courses can be canceled by IdanhaCulta if a minimum of 12 (twelve) registrations in each course.
- In case of cancelment by Idanhaculta with the reason above mentioned on D, the applicants shall be informed within 30 (thirty) days prior to the beginning date announced of the course.
- The amounts paid by the applicants shall be refunded through the same method used to make the payment within 15 days after the announcement of the cancellation due to the reason above mentioned on D.
FORCE MAJEURE
- IdanhaCulta Association will not be held liable for the non-fulfillment or faulty fulfillment of the obligations assumed in the relation established with the guests, in the exact measure where they result from the occurrence of extraordinary or unpredictable situations, external to the will of the contracting parties and that cannot be controlled by them, such as war (declared or undeclared), riots, civil insurrection, natural catastrophes, general nationwide or international strikes, fire, floods, explosions, threats or terrorist acts, epidemics and other situations beyond the Associations control which prevent or hinder the fulfillment of the obligations assumed.
- If, for reasons of force majeure and beyond the control of Centro de Ayurveda and IdanhaCulta, the course needs to be canceled or interrupted, the trainees will be informed and the reasons explained. The amount paid by the trainee will be kept as credit and can be used in any future course by Centro de Ayurveda at Boomland in a period of 2 years;
ENROLLMENT
- The selection criteria for trainees derive solely from the specific requirements of the training programs and/or from the rules defined for the programs in which they are inserted, with no social, political or ethnic-religious discrimination. The specific requirements are displayed on the Centro de Ayurveda website.
- Candidates who do not meet the essential requirements will be excluded and fully refunded.
- Candidates not selected will always be able to obtain information about the reasons for their non-selection.
- In case the applications exceed the number of slots available for the training, the candidates will be selected by order of application, considering they meet the essential requirements. A waiting list will be created in the event of any cancellations.
TRAINING SESSIONS
- The training schedule varies, depending on the course and the project in question; The definition of schedules and training schedules is prepared by the pedagogical coordination; The schedule is displayed on the Boomland School website;
- Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to the trainees as far in advance as possible.
- The training sessions will only start when the minimum number of trainees is guaranteed.
- The attendance regime established by Centro de Ayurveda and the following rules apply to trainees:
- All absences require written communication of the causes, no later than two working days after the fact, being considered justified absences and subject to written proof those originated by the following facts:
- Death of family members;
- Wedding;
- Examination tests at an educational establishment;
- Illness, accident, compliance with legal obligations, provision of urgent assistance to the family.
- Absences other than those mentioned above are considered unexcused absences.
- In each training action (or module), the trainee cannot exceed 5% of unexcused absences
- The limit of absences, whether justified or unjustified, must not exceed 10% of the Program or Course workload, unless expressly indicated in writing to the contrary by the Centro de Ayurveda.
- Certain training actions require 100% attendance by the trainee. In these cases, the trainee will be informed in writing in advance.
- Trainees may be required to bring supporting material to the training sessions. All the material required will be communicated to the trainees in advance.
EVALUATION
- The following assessment levels will be used, as applicable:
- Level 1- Learning – criteria are defined for evaluating the learning carried out by trainees during the course of training, in order to assess the success of the training, taking as a reference what new knowledge, skills or behaviors the trainees have acquired. The option regarding the evaluation model to be adopted will be based on the general and specific objectives of the action/Course, in its contents and duration.
- The level 2 assessment (those acquired for the work context) as well as the level 3 assessment (evaluation of training results) will only be implemented in specific projects and their applicability, as well as the underlying development methodology, is specified in the substantiation thereof.
- At the end of the action, the trainee will be entitled, depending on the type and result of the evaluation, to:
- Professional training certificate;
- Vocational training attendance certificate.
PROGRAM
- There is a program to which all guests can have free access. You can check the available programs on the Boomland School registration form.
- In some trainings there are extracurricular activities, for which guests can make a reservation and pay an extra fee.
ACCOMMODATION
- The allocation of bed in shared dorm accommodation is made randomly by IdanhaCulta Association, previously to guests arrival, therefore not available for onsite selection; the allocation of tents and caravans is up to guests within the limits of the designated tents and caravans camping area.
- The payment is made in full at the moment of the online reservation or in 50% at the moment of online reservation and 50% until the 15th August; after this date it can only be made in full at the time of reservation.
- Check-in hours are from 15h00 to 20h00 on the day before the first day of training;
- Everyday between 23h and 8h entrance is forbidden to everyone.
- Checkout hours vary according to the specific course's program timetable - it should take place after the farewell celebration included in the program and before the next meal hours.
FOOD
- Meals are available in the restaurant area of Boomland courses;
- Full Board meal is mandatory and there will be no cancellations, exchanges or returns of the selected food option.
- Trainees must choose their diet preference at the time of registration and inform IdanhaCulta, by email, of any food allergies.
PARKING
- There is parking on-site, in an area specifically designated and indicated for that purpose;
- IdanhaCulta Association is not responsible for any damage, theft or robbery that may occur in the parking area;
RESPONSIBILITY AND TERMS OF USE
The Boomland Courses by Centro de Ayurveda are provided by IdanhaCulta – Associação de Desenvolvimento Social, Cultural, Recreativo e Ambiental, taxpayer number 513781323, with head office in Boomland, Estrada de Alcafozes, S/N, 6060-011 Idanha-a-Nova, and Centro de Ayurveda, represented by David Ferreira, taxpayer number 214437175, with head office in Rua Ernestino Elisiário Antunes, nº 108, 2645-328 Alcabideche.
- IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda will not be held accountable for any thefts or robberies that take place inside Boomland, namely in the accommodation or parking areas;
- IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda will not be held accountable for any accidents that may occur inside Boomland, in authorized or restricted areas, or as a result of using the lake. It is an unsurveilled lake so usage is at the guest’s own risk;
- Guests are not allowed to circulate in restricted areas. These areas will be duly indicated as such;
- Animals are not allowed inside Boomland or inside the accommodation;
- Any person who is not staying in the accommodation, will not be allowed to enter Boomland or the accommodation;
- Cars are not allowed to circulate inside Boomland, except between the entrance of Boomland and the respective parking area and always respecting the established circuits, accesses and rules;
- It is not allowed to obstruct in any way the paths or emergency exits, nor cross or destroy the existing fences;
- Sound amplifying devices or any others that prevent other guests from resting are not allowed, at any time;
- It is not allowed to make or handle fire in any way;
- It is not allowed to smoke inside the accommodations;
- It is not allowed to place clothes lines, cables or strings of any material at a height inferior to 2 meters, or wire cables at any height;
- Guests must use the toilet blocks, sinks, garbage and recycling points and, generally, all facilities, in a way that respects other guests, as well as higiene, salubrity and civility rules, and also water and energy saving;
- Guests must respect the rules of Boomland and the accommodation, namely those concerning the rules designated by the Health Authorities meant to prevent the spread of any pandemic;
- Guests must respect the privacy and peace of the remaining guests and staff at any time. IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda reserve the right to cancel a reservation, effective immediately, if the guests do not honour this commitment, cause disturbance/inconveniences to other guests or staff, breach any rules or refuse to abide by any of the Terms of Use here mentioned;
- The refusal of stay to a person or several people, in the terms of the previous point, may also constitute refusal of future admittance, as long as duly fundamented;
- The guests will be liable for any damage caused in the accommodation or part thereof (for eg. sheets or other content that can be found inside), having to bear the cost of replacement according to the pricing displayed at the reception of the accommodation;
- All guests must be bearers of any of the following identification documents: ID card, Cartão de Cidadão or Passport, which will be requested for admission in Boomland as well as registered in a computer system for admission into the accommodation.
- The guests consent to their inclusion in official newsletters or other communication, photographic, visual & audio recordings as members of the audience.
COMPLAINTS
- The continuous improvement of the training process is an integral part of the Centro de Ayurveda and IdanhaCulta Quality Policy. In this sense, the monitoring of customer satisfaction is promoted, giving particular importance to the collection, analysis and treatment of trainees' opinions.
- Complaints - or claims - are considered to be all expressions of discontent that result from attitudes, actions, procedures, logistical or material conditions that violate the defined and agreed norms and rules and/or jeopardize learning or violate dignity and rights. of any of the persons or entities involved in the training process.
- Complaints or claims may be communicated/presented by Trainees, Trainers or other participants in the training process, orally or in writing.
Suggestions or complaints can be submitted directly to the Training Officer, through our email: school@boomland.eu, or through the Livro de Reclamações
- All suggestions and complaints will be reviewed by both entities, and the result will be made known, with due justification, to those involved, within a maximum period of 15 days.
PRIVACY AND SAFETY POLICY
Who is responsible for processing your data?

Why is your data collected and handled?
Your data is collected by IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda for the completion of the purchases and sales through our online platform, and for the issue of training certificates and will not be used for any other purpose.
If necessary, your data can also be used for fulfillment of legal obligations or legitimate interests of IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda, as well as for the execution of a defined contract.
And when it comes to underaged guest’s data?
The handling of personal data of children under the age of 16, in cases in which consent is necessary for such handling, will only be legal when consent is given by the respective holders of parental responsibilities.
Will your data be shared?
IdanhaCulta Association does not share your personal data with any third parties without informing you in advance. IdanhaCulta Association shares your data with Good Mood – Produção e Comercialização de Audiovisuais, Lda., taxpayer number 504208209, with head office in Zona Industrial, Edíficio Incubadora de Empresas, 6060 – 182 Idanha-a-Nova, which renders services in the administrative and financial areas concerning the accommodation. We also share your personal data with third parties to help us use that data. The Centro de Ayurveda will share your personal data with DGERT for the issuance of Training Certificates. You can read more about how DGERT uses your personal data HERE.
For how long will your data be stored?
IdanhaCulta and Centro de Ayurveda will store your data for the necessary time to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected.
How will your data be protected?
Your data will be stored safely and access will be restricted to authorized personnel.
What actions can you take concerning the data you have provided?
At any point, you may contact IdanhaCulta Association through the email address dpo@idanhaculta.pt requesting access to your personal data, as well as their correction, deletion, limitation, information opposition or any other issue. You will also be able to, when the data collection has been based on your consent, communicate the revocation of said consent, which will not compromise the legality of the handling based on the previous consent.
IdanhaCulta Association may not comply with the requested deletion whenever the handling of the data is still required for its respective purpose or for the fulfillment of legal obligations or exercise of rights, in which case the holder of the data will be informed of the reason why the deletion was not possible.
You may still file a complaint to CNPD (National Comission for Data Protection), in case you feel there has been a breach of your rights.
