COVID-19 MITIGATION
All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
Please ensure you give a minimum of 4 hours notice to cancel any prebooked session. Failure to cancel by this time will mean all payments for class will be forfeited. If members who pay monthly do not used booked sessions and do not give a minimum 4 hours notice, they will incur a penalty of £10 that must be paid before being permitted to rebook onto any further sessions.
Do not attend any sessions if you feel unwell or show symptoms of fever or have a continuous cough.
No refunds will be issued for classes cancelled for any COVID-19 related circumstances. We will strictly follow government guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all our students.
Please ensure you arrive on time but no more than a few minutes early for your session.
Please wait outside until invited to enter the studio, ensuring you maintain social distancing at all times. Your temperature will be taken and recorded before you are permitted entry to the building. If your temperature is above 37.8C, you will NOT be permitted to attend class.
Please ensure you arrive dressed and ready for class in clean and appropriate clothing. Please bring a bag containing only items you need for your session, and only take belongings out of your bag when they are needed. If you are bringing your own cloth for pole cleaning please ensure it is clean and wash it when you return home after class.
The sharing of personal belongings is not permitted unless within the same family bubble.
All forms of face coverings may restrict breathing efficiency and government guidelines state they should not be used during exercise except on specific advice from a physician. Therefore they are not permitted to be used during classes unless a GP letter providing advice can be provided.
Upon entering the studio, remove shoes and use the provided hand sanitiser. You may use your own but it must have a minimum of 70% alcohol content.
Please do not touch the desk area or place any personal belongings on it.
If your child requires a lot of spotting and is in the beginner youth circus group then a parent may stay. The parent or guardian is also expected to follow all the rules and guidelines.
No spectators are permitted.
If you need to use the toilet at any time then please inform your instructor and follow guidelines on the toilet door.
You will be permitted to use one apparatus per session. No equipment swapping is permitted.
Students must maintain a minimum 2m distance from other students at all times, unless within the same family bubble, even if sharing apparatus.
No photos or videos to be taken during any session, except by the instructor.
No rigging changes will take place during sessions.
Students may use their own apparatus or our speciality equipment if rigging space permits it but students must arrange this with the instructor in advance. Session times and available apparatus will be listed on our facebook group for students to book their spaces.
If you wish to use your own apparatus it must be rigged and taken down by us between sessions. Bringing and collecting of equipment must be arranged and will not take place immediately before or straight after class.
All students may only book one session at a time but may give preferred days and times of other sessions they would like to attend if space allows.
Instructors will wear masks and sanitise their hands before and after each spot, and spotting will be kept to a minimum.
Water bottles or other refreshment containers, should in no circumstances be shared. Participants are advised to bring their own, in a labelled or highly distinguishable container.
All students must exit the apparatus as soon as they are told to do so and cool down in the same space used to warm up.
You will be directed individually on how to exit the studio correctly and safely.
Parents must be ready to collect their child at the scheduled end of class, but must remain outside and maintain social distancing.
If anything is left or forgotten, please DO NOT re-enter the academy to retrieve it. Contact us and we will organise for you to collect your belongings.
Please make sure you leave the studio car park as quickly and safely as possible to avoid congestion.
In line with the NHS Test and Trace strategy, we may be required to submit contact details of our students if anyone within their class tests positive for COVID-19.
While Freestyle Fitness will attempt to minimise any risk of a Covid-19 spread within the studio, the risk can not be eliminated completely. By signing this document below you are confirming you are aware of these risks and accept responsibility for your own health and safety. You are also confirming permission for your details to be shared for the purpose of the NHS Test and Trace strategy.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS - Please note that all COVID-19 mitigations currently over rule any conflicting general terms and conditions.
No shoes. All shoes must be removed at the door. This includes all parents spectating.
All students must have filled out a Par-q form and informed consent form before taking part in any class/event or workshop. It is the students responsibility to inform Freestyle Fitness of any changes to their medical condition when they attend each class.
Class times must be adhered to. There are other things going on before and after your class and if there isn't a class after yours, we would like to go home.
Warm ups and cool downs will be structured. Therefore when told to come off equipment, you need to do it quickly so cool down can be done in time for the class to finish on time and for people to leave ready for the next class. It also goes hand in hand with sticking to class times.
Any equipment got out, needs to be put away tidily.
If you have specific equipment you need to work on, you must book it prior to class. Equipment booking will be based on maximum of 3 persons sharing one apparatus at any one time. However we will try to limit it to a max of two. And you can't prebook equipment prior to 48hours in advance of class.
If you book use of specific equipment then do not turn up without giving notice. You will forfeit your right to prebook equipment. Same applies if you prebook equipment then barely use it.
No food or drink on matted area.
No bags, phones or other personal belongings on the matted area.
No jewellery to be worn during any class. All body piercing must be taped or covered.
No lotions on hands or body.
No buckles, studs or zips on clothing that could catch on the equipment.
Use of grip aid must be approved by your instructor before use. Studio grip aid will only be supplied when absolutely essential except rosin which we are happy for you to use as and when required. If you know you require grip aid to work efficiently then please bring your own.
Chalk is no longer permitted. It's to messy and the benefits do not warrant the effort to tidy it up. Use rosin instead.
No photos or videos to be taken during classes without consent from your instructor.
No spectators during any sessions except youth circus.
Any and all injuries suffered during class, including minor injuries, must be reported to the instructor at the time of occurrence.
Students are NOT permitted to instruct each other. If you have any questions please ask your instructor.
In the event of snow or bad weather Freestyle Fitnesss will announce any class cancellation on their Facebook and Instagram pages. If you are concerned a class may be cancelled due to bad weather and can't see a notification, please contact us. If the class runs and you can’t make it, your lesson will be forfeited.
