How to Add Multiple Instances of the Same SSO Provider in Jotform Enterprise

January 17, 2025

Single Sign-On (SSO) enables users on your Enterprise Jotform server to log in securely and efficiently using your organization’s identity provider. With Jotform’s advanced SSO capabilities, you can configure multiple instances of the same SSO provider. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for your organization, especially if you have different teams that rely on different authentication systems of your chosen SSO provider, such as Okta, Google, Microsoft Entra ID, OneLogin, and others.

Adding multiple instances of the same SSO provider simplifies management while providing a seamless login experience across your chosen identity provider.

Note

This article uses Okta as the identity provider, but the steps are closely the same as those of other providers.

Adding the First Okta SSO

To begin, ensure you have your SSO Metadata from Okta ready. This process is very straightforward. Let’s get started!

  1. On your Jotform Enterprise Admin Console, go to the Settings section.
  2. Go to the SSO Settings and toggle Single Sign-On from the list of features.
  3. Click the New SAML SSO Provider button.

  1. Edit and map the following SAML SSO Configuration:
    • Provider Name — Enter the name of the provider. You can input a more personalized name here for identification purposes.
    • Entity ID — Input the Issuer URL from Okta.
    • SSO URL — Paste the Sign on URL.
    • Certificate — Your Signing Certificate from Okta.
    • SLO URL — Paste the Sign out URL.

Adding the Second Okta SSO

The second instance of the Okta SSO will follow the same configuration as outlined in the first part of this guide. To add the second instance of Okta, click on the New SAML SSO Provider button, which is still in the Single Sign-On section.

As you can see, they’re both labeled as Okta Admins and Okta Users, both based on the SSO configurations.
