We’ve already told you about Alessandra Torre, the famous bestselling novelist who hails from Key West, Florida. But did you know she’s also Alessandra Torre, the conference organizer?
Inkers Con Author Conference is held every year to help educate established and aspiring authors on everything from marketing to productivity. This year’s conference, which is completely digital due to COVID-19, begins June 6.
Great conferences not only have great topics but great speakers. And in order for Torre to secure speakers for her conference, they need to sign a speaker agreement.
She created a speaker agreement form using Jotform and has significantly reduced the time it takes for speakers to return their forms to her.
A lot goes into a speaker agreement. The Inkers Con speaker services agreement goes over compensation and asks the speaker to sign off on items related to presentation materials, participation in panels, acceptable content, promotions, and cancellations.
It also collects vital information from speakers, including their headshot, preferred name, social media handles, a short bio, and their website.
At the bottom of the form, Inkers Con asks the speaker to indicate that they agree to the terms outlined in the form, and then they’re prompted to electronically sign and date below.
Alessandra and Inkers Con have been ahead of the curve for a while. In the past few years, they’ve offered remote attendance to their conference online, so this year isn’t expected to make a huge impact on operations.
Jotform can come in handy for event management in other ways, especially for registration forms that integrate with all the major payment processors, email marketing services, and now Zoom for distance events.
