    Hallo liebes Jotform Team,

    Hi Sebastianm

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, I understand that you are looking to add a button in your Jotform App that can initiate the save process for smartphones, allowing users to save the app as an icon directly.

Unfortunately, the current functionality does not support the creation of a button that automatically starts the saving process on mobile devices. Users typically need to follow the standard process to save the app, which can vary based on the browser or platform being used.

However, you can still provide clear instructions to your users to save the app to their smartphones. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

    For iOS Devices:

    1. Open the app in Safari.
    2. Tap the "Share" button at the bottom of the screen.
    3. Select "Add to Home Screen."
    4. Name the app and tap "Add."

    For Android Devices:

    1. Open the app in Chrome.
    2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
    3. Select "Add to Home Screen."
    4. Name the app and tap "Add."

Since Facebook's in-app browser might show different options, you can create a custom page within your app with step-by-step instructions and screenshots for both iOS and Android devices. This way, your users will have a clear guide on how to save your app to their home screens, regardless of the browser they are using.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.
