    Merci,

    Jacques Fayet

    Hi Jacques,

Our French Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in French, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, it's easy to check older submissions from a form without the need to delete new submissions. In Jotform Tables, you can use different filters to find specific submissions based on the date, answer selection, and unique information.  So long as the data you're looking for still exists, you can just search for them easily. First, let's look at filtering submissions using the Date filter:

    1. On your Jotform Tables page, next to the Search bar, click on Filter.
    2. In the window that opens, click on All Time and choose the dates manually or click on predefined filters, like Today, Last 3 Days, or Previous week.
    3. Now, click anywhere outside the Date Filter window to close it, then click on Apply Filter.

    1. While in Jotform Tables, click on Filter and in the Advanced Filters section, click on Choose a Field, then select a field to filter.
    2. In the second dropdown, select the Includes option to find the exact keywords you enter, or select Equal or Not Equal to use the filter.
    3. Enter your keyword in the Text box and click on Apply Filter.

Are you perhaps looking into recovering older submissions that were deleted? It is still possible, so long as those submissions are still in the Trashed entries and were not completed deleted or purged yet. Let me show you how:

    1. In Tables, click on the Three Dots icon in the tab next to your form's name at the upper left side of the page.
    2. In the dropdown list, click on Trashed Entries.
    3. In the window that comes up on the right side of the page, select the Deleted Submission then, click on the Restore button and that's it.

When retrieving submission data, deleting new submissions is not necessary, so long as your account has enough usage space to keep them, and/or receive new ones. You might want to check out this guide about Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits.

Don't forget that trashed submissions that are not restored within 30 days will be automatically deleted. You can also check out our How to Use Different Filters to Easily Manage Your Data in Jotform Tables guide for more information.

Give them a try and let us know if you need any help.
