Update/Calculate Field Condition Failed to Work

I'm building a very simple form to try Jotform. It's a registration form, with a limit on the number of people that can attend (I set the limit to 2 for testing purposes). I want to change the Statut field based on the number of registrations (Nombre d'inscriptions) and then send a different email depending on the Statut field. It's not working and I really don't understand why because it seems SO simple. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform support. When I cloned and tested your form, the same thing happened for me. After investigating it a bit, I found a solution. It's really easy to fix. Let me show you how:

1. In your Form Builder, click on the Submission Counter widget and then the gear icon beside it.
2. Under the Advanced tab, disable the Hide Field option. That's it.

Since the widget is already hidden in the widget settings, you don’t need to hide it again in the field properties. As this could cause issues with your condition.

It worked, thank you. I spent probably 4 hours last night trying to understand why it didn't work. Since I'm brand new to the platform, I wanted to make sure I didn't miss some obvious thing,

I understand that these two ways to hide the widget may be confusing. So, I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. I just realized that the widget is hidden when seeing the form. When I use the Edit Submission link to edit the form, they then appear. It happens to me with a widget but also with a basic field. How do I make sure they're always hidden?

Indeed, this should happen only when you open the edit link as the owner of the form, showing all the fields, even the hidden ones. This is the expected behavior, by design. So that if the recipient is not you, as the form owner, he won't see the hidden field. If this behavior doesn't fit your needs, I can open a new feature request to be forwarded to our developers.
