Ways to Get Notified of New Submissions Aside from Email Notifications

Are you tired of your email servers blocking emails from noreply@jotform.com? Are you hoping there’s a way to be notified even when your email ends up in our Bounce List? Although there are many ways to lower the likelihood of your email getting on the Bounce List, it would be nice to have a fail-safe option to get notified of new submissions should the emails fail.

And that’s the topic of this guide – To offer some solutions, either built-in with Jotform or with third-party platforms, to be notified should Email Notifications fail.

Note that this article isn’t an in-depth guide on setting up each alternative we listed below. The goal here is to keep you informed of other ways to be notified of new submissions.

Using Existing Jotform Tools

1. Use the Jotform Mobile App for Push Notifications on Your Phone

Once you install the Jotform Mobile App, it will always notify you of every submission on your forms, assuming you have notifications turned on.

2. Generate an RSS Feed Report and Use It with Your Favorite Reader

Some folks rely on RSS feeds for tracking weather reports, news, recent blog posts, etc. So, why not use it to track Form Submissions too? We suggest Feedly, but you’re free to choose a reader you love.

3. Create multiple Email Notifications

If you’re getting your notifications through your corporate (or domain) email address, maybe it’s worth adding a reliable backup notifier like Gmail, just in case.

4. Use Webhooks and Generate Your Personal Submission Mailer

Webhook is a technique used to send HTTP POST notifications to a URL. You can use it to connect apps to transmit and process data. In theory, you may use our API and develop an alternative notifier of your own.

Using Third Party Platforms

1. Use Pushbullet for Browser-based Desktop Notifications

Pushbullet is a nifty Chrome Extension that lets you see (or mirror) your mobile phone notifications to your PC. It’s perfect when you have the Jotform Mobile App installed on your phone.

2. Use IFTTT, Zapier, or Microsoft Flow to Connect Jotform with Other Platforms

There are plenty of ways to be notified with these connected apps. You can set them up to send you Push Notifications on mobile, emails, etc.
