Hi Nicola,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our Italian Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Italian, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, I'm afraid it is not possible to disable the QR code; however, you can disable the form temporarily. Let me show you how:
- Open your form in Form Builder.
- In the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
- In the Form Settings window, set the Form Status to Disabled.
Give it a try and let us know if this works for you.

Hi Nicola,
Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct feature that allows you to deactivate just the QR code while keeping the form active. The QR code is simply a different access point to the form; if the form is active, the QR code will still function because it just redirects to the form URL.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Hi Nicola,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand the issue, but I’ll need a bit of time to work out a solution or workaround. I’ll get back to you shortly.

Hi Nicola,
Thanks for your patience. I have a workaround but this is only applicable to forms that do not have a custom URLs yet. I assume you only want to deactivate the QR code for those users with whom you already shared the code. In this workaround, we will assign a custom URL and it'll generate a new QR code. Make sure you do not share this new QR code. In this case, the form will only be accessible through the custom URL. The default URL and the old URL will no longer work. Let me show you how.Create a custom URL:
- On the Form Builder, click on Publish.
- On the menu on the left side, click on Quickshare.
- Click on the pencil icon, right next to the default form URL.
- Change the URL slug or you can apply the autogenerated URL slug
- Finally, click on Apply
We also have this guide on how to create a custom URL on your form.
Next, add the Get Page URL widget and add the a paragraph message that says "This form is no longer accessible using the QR code" or your desired message whichever fits your needs.
- On left side of the Form Builder, click on Add Form Element.
- On the right panel, click on Widgets.
- Search and select Get Form Page URL.
- After adding the widget, click on Basic.
- Select Paragraph.
- Add your desired text. This message will appear when they access the form using the default URL and the old QR code.
Finally, create a condition logic to hide all fields and show the paragraph element.
- On the Form Builder, click on Settings.
- On the menu on the left side, click on Conditions,
- On the conditional logic option, select Show/Hide field.
- Create the condition. So the condition is if Get Page URL, contains the form ID number (Form ID can be seen on the URL field of your browser). We will hide all the fields including the submit button and only show the paragraph element.
- Finally, click on Save.
I have this test form that you can check
Default URL: https://form.jotform.com/241412159478055
Old QR Code:Custom URL: https://form.jotform.com/Jeric_T/disable-qr-code
In conclusion, this workaround will only make the form accessible through the custom URL and not with the default URL and old QR code.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
