Mind of the Student exists so that every young person feels empowered to speak about their mental in school. Our mission is to equip young people in secondary schools, with the knowledge, confidence and skills to address their mental health needs.

Next steps:

1. You will shortly receive an email from Working Options in Education (our booking partner), confirming your registration and asking to arrange a pre-programme call. A call must be confirmed between yourself and Working Options in Education no later than 2 weeks from the above date.

2. On the call, Working Options in Education will confirm the details shared in your initial registration (attached), and discuss:

1. Frequently asked questions;
2. Pre-programme materials, and;
3. Post-programme materials;

3. Mind of the Student measures their impact through a pre-programme and post-programme questionnare.

You must identify one class in every year to to complete both questionnaires. You can access the questionnaires below:

2. Post-programme questionnaire

This forms part of your responsibility, to organise and complete, as per the delivery contract you agreed to when registering. Students must be from the same class when completing the pre-programme and post-programme questionnaire. Questionnaires are anonymous.

4. Finally, please ensure you have reserved your hall or a space large enough to accomdate the workshop day.

• Liaise with the allocated staff member

  to confirm date, timings, and resourc

  ing of facilitators.
• Gather feedback from teache

  rs and students attending s

  essions.
• Provide a feedback summary of the

  students’ surveys to schools whe

  n provided.
• Follow-up with the school to debrief o

  n the day; what worked well and what c

  ould be adjusted and to discuss bookin

  g future mental health workshop days.
• Mind of the Student reserves the right t

  o make no further bookings should feedba

  ck forms not be completed satisfactorily

  (expectation of minimum 75% return rate

  on all surveys).

• Commit to facilitate a mental heal

  the pre-programme lesson plans and

  resources to supplement the workshop

  as possible after the workshop day.
• Commit to a minimum 75% return rate on

  feedback surveys from the students an

  d 100% from Tutors.
• Share any photos, articles or posts r

  elated to the day with Mind of the St

  udent or Working Options.
• Complete a school survey to provide th

  e number of students that attended any

  workshop day and information on the m

  ix of students in terms of gender, eth

  nicity and those eligible for pupil pr

  emium or FSM.

• Ensure there is an adequate number of st

  aff members to help facilitate a mental

  health workshop day and monitor student

  behaviour.
• Ensure that there is a suitable room bo

  oked for the session with the correct e

  quipment – laptop or PC with a screen a

  nd the ability to play audio.

  if they are driving.
